The first urban art tram is now running in Zurich: this moving work of art was developed and implemented by Zurich street artist Redl, who has created various iconic murals in Zurich, for example at the Schütze neighborhood park on Escher-Wyss Platz. During our week-long vacation in France, my mom and I took a day trip to Ettelbruck, also known as Ettelbrooklyn, in Luxembourg—the destination was easily accessible by train in 1.5 hours. The Ettelbruck city administration has made it its mission to transform its home into a colorful street art hotspot. To this end, walls on central buildings are made available to street artists, and recently the riverfront promenade was transformed into a hip outdoor museum.
We were impressed—but see for yourself and take a look at the photo report in the PDF download.
In October 2025 my Mum and I enjoyed a holiday week in the lovely town of Metz in the North-East of France. There was a wonderful old town and great restaurants to discover. But we also particularly liked all the amazing street artists we got to know here: From delicate and humorous mosaic artists to poetic text artists.
But see for yourself and enjoy our discoveries in the PDF download below—have fun!
Sadly, internationally renowned artist Chemis, who lives in Prague, has announced that his iconic artwork “Ukrainian Child” has been removed from the wall in his adopted home. He posted a beautiful and moving message about this on Instagram:

Thanks to my employer, I had the opportunity to attend a business conference in Copenhagen. Afterwards, I took a day off to discover the street art gems in Vesterbro as well as Norrebro on my own.
What a great adventure, but see for yourself in the download!
In September, it was that time again, and internationally renowned street artist Ben Wilson, aka The Gum Man, was back in the city of Zurich thanks to the support of Zurich's Musée Visionnaire.
He spent about a week here restoring his small works of art from 2022 and creating more mini street art gems. Our association, SAZH, also participated in promoting the artist and sponsored a piece of gum art.
You can find the entire map for a walk along the numerous small works of art here:

Can you guess which piece of gum Ben Wilson painted for the SAZH association?
When my best friend Metz invited me to Amsterdam for his 50th birthday, I was thrilled because I had wanted to visit the famous Straat Museum, where curated street art is exhibited, for a long time.
The museum is located in the Amsterdam-Noord district, and it's worth taking a little extra time to search for street art gems in the museum's rather industrial surroundings—believe me, there's a lot to see and even more to discover...
But see for yourself: The PDF download only shows a fraction of what there is to see, because a little spoiler is okay, but not everything. :-))
During our week-long vacation in Helsinki, we decided to take a day trip to Estonia, specifically to the capital city of Tallinn. We've already booked our tickets and are sitting in a huge LNG ferry on our way to the small Baltic state.
Once we arrive, we grab an app taxi and head straight to Telliskivi Creativity City, which is supposed to be a real hotspot for street art. And the online reviews didn't promise too much: the huge site is home to numerous commissioned and “freelance” street art works, so we had to stop off at the great F-Hoone restaurant for a Smash Burger to recharge our batteries – street art tours make you hungry. :-))
Our conclusion: Telliskivi is definitely worth a visit and can be easily combined with an extended visit to the old town with its many small shops, cafes, and restaurants on the same day.
Being huge fans of Finland and Helsinki in particular my mother and I decided to return in 2025 as our first trip in September 2021 to visit the Biennale 2021 was such a lovely and memorable experience although things were still limited back then due to Covid-19.
So, when we came back this year in July we did not only want to revisit the Biennale 2025 and experience other things we missed out on but, we specifically wanted to go on a street art tour too. Luckily when browsing the internet we stumbled across the website of Helsinki Urban Art and the great work of Jaako Blomberg and his crew.
Although, Jaako had just arrived home a day ago he spontaneously agreed to do a street art tour for us through his hood at Pasila: Download the PDF and see for yourself - enjoy the many great artist and stunning art works, but most important go to Helsinki and meet up with Jaako or a member of his crew to give you a wonderful deep dive into Finnish street art.
In June 2025, the SAZH association learned that a well-known building on Kernstrasse with wonderful street art was being renovated. Since the renovation also affects the entire facade, it is clear that various works of art will disappear forever. Because we at the SAZH association fell in love with a work of art by an unknown artist on various tours, we were determined to save the beloved artwork “Hippo”.
So, we contacted the construction company responsible and then the building owner to ask if Hippo could be saved. And what can we say? Thanks to the kind support of the project manager at Zobrist & Räbsamen, we succeeded: Hippo was professionally and carefully removed from the wall and then expertly cleaned before being stored in the SAZH archive.
Fortunately, our association SAZH was able to contribute to the rescue of a piece of Zurich street art, ensuring that Hippo did not suffer the same fate as many other works of art in public spaces every day.
*If you are the artistic creator of Hippo or know the name of the person in question, please get in touch via our contact form or via info@streetart-zurich.ch.
